Music therapy can take place in a variety of locations, including schools, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice centers, early childhood facilities, a private practice location, or even your home.
Weinert Music Therapy is a mobile service - we will travel to you all across the Quad Cities and surrounding areas! We hope to one day have a space of our own, but until then, we can either come to you or we can schedule virtual services if appropriate.
About your therapist!
Sarah is a board certified music therapist from Rock Island, Illinois. She completed her Bachelor's degree at the University of Kansas in 2021 and completed her music therapy internship in Kansas City, Missouri with Cornerstones of Care working with youth in the foster care system.
She then returned to KU to complete her Master's degree, where she focused on researching early childhood language development and completed advanced clinical work in the neonatal intensive care unit. She was a clinical supervisor at the University of Kansas, supporting students and their learning.
When not working, Sarah spends her time with friends and family, playing with her dog, Luna, and making stained glass art.
